For the second year in succession, Banque Populaire has partnered the Mercure HEC Booster awards, officially presented at a prize-giving ceremony on January 29th.
“We are not partners by chance,” emphasized Olivier Cervera, Director of the Banque Populaire Corporates and Institutionals market at BPCE, at the prize-giving ceremony. “The Mercure awards celebrate entrepreneurship and innovation, along with solidarity and mutual aid. In the Banque Populaire banks, these values of entrepreneurship, innovation and solidarity have always formed an integral part of our DNA. Tonight’s prize-winner, MyBen*, is an excellent illustration of the entrepreneurial ambition and innovation embodied by Banque Populaire and HEC.”
Created in 1999, the Mercure Booster awards pay tribute to young entrepreneurs who have not studied at the international business school. The seven candidates short-listed for the prize benefitted from a six-month tailor-made coaching program and took part in collective theme-based workshops (business plan development, stress management, fundraising, communications). Banque Populaire was particularly involved in running the financing workshop. The goal was to provide candidates with a methodology and to put them in contact with the right people to find the financing structure best suited to their project (who to contact and when, what are the main financial mechanisms?)
All these advantages will make it possible to support the growth and development of MyBen.
*MyBen, created by Natacha Hulmel in February 2018, is a collaborative platform for the management of transport flows for the construction industry. The idea is provide a web-based opportunity for bulk transporters to meet companies wanting to clear their construction sites. The platform allows site supervisors to offer online prices in just a few clicks, to schedule the loading of trucks with a reliable transportation network, and to track the different stages in their journey in real time.
