On October 2, just before the launch of the 2019 Fête de la Science, a nationwide science festival organized every year in France, CASDEN, a Groupe BPCE bank, signed an initial multi-year corporate sponsorship agreement with the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research & Innovation with a view to supporting the development of scientific culture.
The aim of this partnership is to raise public awareness about science and the challenges it faces, to promote the sharing of knowledge between researchers and the general public, to showcase the work carried out by the scientific community and, lastly, to encourage young people to pursue scientific careers.
CASDEN is establishing its position as a partner of the launch of the national festival. It will then coordinate and, with the support of the regional Banque Populaire banks, help to give concrete expression to the framework agreement by supporting events at a regional level.
It should be remembered that the Science Festival is held throughout France from October 5 to 13 and offers thousands of free events open to all. Created in 1991, this festival is organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research & Innovation to allow everyone to discover the world of science and to meet the men and women behind scientific discoveries today.
