Created within the framework of Groupe BPCE’s strategic plan, the e-Document publishing function has announced its first results.
2018 was the year when the Group’s brand-new e-Document publishing function acquired its final structure, after one year in existence. This represents an opportunity to underline the department’s overall roadmap: “to make digital documents the norm, and paper the exception” and to take stock of the desktop publishing system in the light of its different indicators, in terms of the regulations and the function’s short- and medium-term objectives.
The CEO of Banque Populaire Alsace Lorraine Champagne, sponsor of the function, emphasized the department’s good results, in line with the Group’s financial trajectory, and confirmed that savings worth €23m have already been made out of a target of €42m by the end of 2020.
A strategic function
Electronic publishing (customer correspondence) and archiving are one of the six areas identified in the strategic plan to drive the Group’s operational improvement, simplify processes, increase customer satisfaction, and generate cost savings. This transformation includes efforts to equip customers with e-documents, enhance data reliability, increase the range of documents concerned, and work on the industrialization of printed publications.
Key figures:
– In December 2018, for the first time, the Group released more digital documents than printed documents,
– More than 3 out of 4 remote banking customers now receive e-Documents
