ENGIE and Mirova join forces to develop the biomethane industry

ENGIE and Mirova sign a strategic partnership to speed up the development of the biogas industry

With this partnership, the Mirova-Eurofidème 4 fund has acquired a 50% stake in the capital of DANA GAZ.

DANA GAZ owns seven biomethane production plants and two cogeneration plants, developed and built by ENGIE.

MIROVA, a subsidiary of Natixis Investment Managers, invests in the energy transition in Europe through Mirova-Eurofideme, thereby extending its investment strategy in renewable energies by taking a significant position in biogas in France.

Against a backdrop of a health crisis that calls for the re-examination of sourcing channels, ENGIE and MIROVA are confirming their commitment to the biomethane industry.

This will contribute to the revival of a circular economy through the recovery of waste, new job creation and support for agriculture, a key sector for the security of food and energy supply.
