Climate change is one of the major challenges facing the world today. It raises a great many questions, particularly about the role played by finance in this area.
In an attempt to answer these questions, Natixis has decided to launch a new series of podcasts devoted to green finance: the Green Momentum podcasts.
Every fortnight, experts and specialists use these podcasts to explain the key issues and new challenges existing in this area, to discuss developments in green finance and the essential role it plays in protecting the environment and society in general. The first two episodes, hosted by the journalist Jérôme Libeskind, are already available online. The first episode features Karen Degouve, head of sustainable finance development within Natixis’ CSR department, and Cédric Merle, an expert in green and sustainable finance working in the Green & Sustainable Hub of Natixis’ Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division. Both discuss the major trends in green finance and the strategies emerging to support economic players as they complete their eco-transition.
The second podcast – with Orith Azoulay, Global Head of Green & Sustainable Finance in Natixis’ CIB division, and Philippe Zaouati, CEO of Mirova, a Natixis Investment Managers’ affiliate dedicated to sustainable investment – looks at the multiple impacts of the health crisis on green finance along with the many questions potentially raised by the crisis regarding the future of the global economy.
