Handball: chasing the goal of qualifying for the quarter-finals

Wednesday, 20 january 2021

With 3 victories in as many matches, the French team is entering the main round with the maximum number of points.

A shadow, however, has been cast over this impeccable first phase in the competition. Wesley Pardin, who had been unstoppable until now, was injured during a match and declared unable to compete for the rest of the competition. Rémi Desbonnet, who was present at the November lineup, will complete the trio of goalkeepers for the World Cup.

Now it’s time to proceed to the main round: France, in group 3, will meet Algeria, followed by Iceland and Portugal. At the end of this round, the top two teams in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals.

The Caisse d’Epargne, a major partner of handball, has been supporting the French men’s and women’s handball teams since January 2015. Keep up with all the news about the French men’s handball team on Facebook: Facebook : Esprit Handball and Twitter : @EspritHandball
