Handball: Olympic Qualification Tournament, a decisive challenge for the French team

Friday, 12 march 2021

Montpellier’s Sud de France Arena will be hosting the Olympic Qualification Tournament (OQT) from March 12 to 14, 2021. The French national team will be taking part in this competition, a crucial step that will determine whether Les Bleus can win one of the two available tickets for Tokyo.

A big challenge for the French team

To obtain this precious ticket to the Games, Les Bleus will have to win at least two of the three matches scheduled in the tournament. And it will be quite a challenge for the French team! They will first come face-to-face with Croatia, vice-champions of Europe, followed by Tunisia and, finally, by Portugal, who beat the French team in the first round of the last European Men’s Handball Championship.

As the matches will all be played behind closed doors, the French team will miss the crucial support of its public. A partner of the French Handball Federation since January 2015, the Caisse d’Epargne will be the French team’s No.1 supporter throughout the competition.

The competition will be broadcast live and unencrypted on the TMC TV channel.
