The 72nd edition of the Cannes International Film Festival kicked off on Tuesday, May 14. In this article we turn the spotlight on Natixis Coficiné, a Natixis subsidiary that finances films, TV series and cinemas.
For the past twenty years, this Natixis subsidiary has been financing about 150 films and around 100 TV series every year in almost all European countries, making it the No.1 player in this sector in France and Europe. Every year, the team of 35 people supports 600 customers and grants nearly one billion euros in loans.
“About one third of the films selected at Cannes are generally financed by Natixis Coficiné,” says Didier Duverger, the subsidiary’s CEO.
Over the past ten years, Natixis Coficiné’s activity and expertise has expanded into the international arena. After Europe, it is now doing business in the United States, Canada and Australia.
