The competition is forging ahead in Beijing! As a partner of the French Ski Federation since 1996 and of the French Olympic Team since 2010, the Caisse d’Epargne has been sharing the thrills and spills of the sporting events of the past few days as new medals are awarded to French athletes.

On Tuesday, after several days of waiting, the sound of the French national anthem finally rang out in Beijing to celebrate the first gold medal awarded to the French delegation after Quentin Fillon-Mallet’s stunning victory in the biathlon individual event. Despite two shooting errors, he won the competition and a second medal to join the silver he won two days earlier with his teammates in the mixed relay.

This morning, the French Olympic team added another silver medal to its list of trophies. At the end of the snowboard cross final, Chloé Trespeuch, a 27-year-old Frenchwoman, mounted the second step of the podium to receive her second Olympic medal after the bronze she won in Sochi in 2014.
