Groupe BPCE, a sponsor of the Fondation du Patrimoine, the ‘Heritage Foundation’ specifically set up to rebuild Notre-Dame Cathedral, pays tribute to the rope access technicians of the Jarnias Group, a long-standing customer of Banque Populaire Auvergne Rhône Alpes.
For more than two years since the fire ravished the cathedral, a team of 40 rope access technicians from the Jarnias Company have been helping to secure Notre-Dame de Paris. Hanging from ropes 45 meters high, they have been working in difficult conditions alongside all the different types of construction specialists present on the site to ensure the cathedral’s continued structural integrity. For these men, this restoration work is an unforgettable human adventure.
The Jarnias Company, a firm specializing in working at heights and on difficult-to-access sites, was founded in Haute-Savoie in 1993. It works on civil engineering projects as well as on historical monuments. Banque Populaire Auvergne Rhône Alpes has been supporting the company’s development for the past 30 years.
