Paris 2024: our para athletes take center stage!

As the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games get underway, Groupe BPCE and all its companies, which share the status of first Premium Partners, express once again how proud they are to be supporting 68 para athletes in their individual sporting projects, including 51 qualified for Paris 2024.

What an emotional moment it was to see Charles-Antoine Kouakou, supported by BPCE Services Financiers, Elodie Lorandie and Fabien Lamirault, supported by Caisse d’Epargne Côte d’Azur, light the Paralympic cauldron! 

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games means 11 days of competition, 4,400 para athletes, 22 sports, 549 events, and an expected total of 2.8 million spectators: from August 28 to September 8, 2024, the whole world will be celebrating the extraordinary exploits of these outstanding athletes: an opportunity to celebrate exceptional achievements, the surpassing of personal limits, and the wealth of diversity in the same competition venues as the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Above all, the Games will be a celebration of what drives these extraordinary sportsmen and women, notably their strength of character and resilience, and provide a unique opportunity to raise public awareness of disability, inclusion, and accessibility, a series of goals perfectly consistent with the actions undertaken by Groupe BPCE to build a more inclusive society, where people with disabilities are fully integrated and valued as individuals.
