For over a century, the Banques Populaires have established themselves as key players in territorial development. Each year, they assess and report on the cooperative and responsible actions they undertake in their regions. These actions are measured and valued within the cooperative and societal footprint, which provides a comprehensive, quantified view of the Banques Populaires’ commitment to their territories.
In 2023, the Banques Populaires undertook 6,434 actions, totaling €194.6 million invested in the interest of society and local territories. Compared to 2022, this figure represents a significant increase of 40% in the number of actions and 26% in the amount, equating to an additional €40 million. This sustainable commitment is rooted in the cooperative DNA of the banks within the BPCE Group.
