BPCE Assurances has taken a number of measures in response to the wildfires raging through the Landiras-Hostens region in southwest France.
All the teams have been mobilized to help policyholders meet their urgent needs, to speed up the processing of their claims and facilitate their administrative procedures. While a total of 10,000 people have been evacuated from the communities affected by the wildfires, it was possible to provide Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne policyholders with emergency accommodation along with basic necessities. These exceptional rehousing measures were introduced immediately for some twenty policyholders and then extended until August 17 for the evacuees.
SMS messages were sent to policyholders in the affected communities to remind them of how to file a claim. The same information also figures prominently on the home pages of the Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne Internet portals.
More than 650 firefighters are still deployed in the affected areas. The BPCE Assurances teams remain mobilized to provide policyholders with the best possible support.
