After a hard-fought match against the steadfast Hungarians, the French team took advantage of extra time to win their place in the semi-finals of the World Handball Championships.
Despite a difficult start to the match (1-7 down after 11 minutes), the French demonstrated their grit and self-sacrifice to get back in the game, with Michael Guigou fully assuming his role as team captain to get France back on track.
For this 14th semi-final in their history, Les Bleus will have to overcome Sweden to win their place in the final of this world championship competition: a formidable opponent as they already know so well!
