BRED Banque Populaire pursues a wide range of activities in retail banking, corporate & investment banking, private banking, international banking, trading room activities, asset management, insurance, and international trade finance.

In 2022, BRED generated consolidated net banking income of €1.64 billion (+12.4%) and net income of €507.4 million, representing growth of 23.0%.

CSR & Sport

True to its corporate purpose and the values it defends as a cooperative bank, BRED’s activities are focused on developing the real economy of the regions it serves, thereby helping to support local employment. Beyond its economic dimension, BRED’s local commitment also finds expression in a sponsorship policy geared towards social integration, equal opportunities, and the transmission of knowledge.

In line with its partnership-oriented governance system consistent with its cooperative status, BRED has always pursued an on-going, constructive dialogue with its stakeholders: customers, cooperative shareholders, employees, suppliers, local authorities, and entities active in the social & solidarity-based economy.

In line with its values, BRED pursues a human resources management policy that encourages diversity and a broad social mix.

Fully aware of the climate challenges, BRED has adopted a plan of action to reduce its direct environmental footprint between 2019 and 2024 and to align its carbon trajectory with that of the Paris Agreement. These actions focus on reducing the energy consumption of its buildings, the promotion of digital sobriety, and responsible mobility.

Paris 2024, at the heart of our commitments

Committed to entrepreneurs since its creation more than a century ago, BRED has a taste for new challenges and a sense of team spirit deeply rooted in its corporate DNA. Its involvement in the Olympic & Paralympic Games Paris 2024 gives expression to the full measure of what ‘being a partner’ actually means. Above and beyond the fact of sharing the pleasure and joy inspired by this sporting event, we also enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that our professional and business customers will benefit from this partnership.
