You don’t want to miss out on any of the performances of our Paralympians in Tokyo? A brief summary of the main results is available here.
Another gold medal for the Group’s Paralympians! After claiming a bronze medal in the time trial on Tuesday, Florian Jouanny from Isère, supported by Banque Populaire Auvergne Rhône Alpes, won a superb victory in the men’s H2 para cycling road race. Like yesterday, his teammate Loïc Vergnaud won the silver medal in the class H5 event. This was a fine performance even if the athlete supported by the Caisse d’Epargne Loire Drôme Ardèche was overtaken in the final stretch.
The para table tennis champions confirmed their excellent form: they won the team bronze medal in class 4-5 with Florian Merrien (Caisse d’Epargne Normandie) and Maxime Thomas (Banque Populaire Alsace Lorraine Champagne), while in the class 2 team event, Fabien Lamirault (Caisse d’Epargne Côte d’Azur) will defend his title in the final on Friday (see article).
Note the following qualifications: Faustine Noël, an athlete supported by Natixis for her first mixed doubles match in para badminton, a discipline making its debut in the history of the Paralympic Games, and Timothée Adolphe (Banque Populaire Val de France) for the final of the men’s 100m T11 event in para athletics, after his terribly disappointing disqualification in the 400m sprint last Saturday. Good luck to them all!
