You don’t want to miss out on any of the performances of our Paralympians in Tokyo? A brief summary of the main events of the weekend is available here.
Cédric Fèvre-Chevalier, supported by the Caisse d’Epargne Bourgogne Franche-Comté, obtained the second best score in the qualifying rounds for the finals, justifying his hopes of winning a medal in the 50m para-shooting event (R6 class). Unfortunately the champion at the London Paralympics came in fourth position and failed to make it to the podium.
No.1 worldwide in his discipline, Lucas Mazur, supported by Banque Populaire Val de France, won a gold medal in the para badminton singles competition (SL4 category) in a superb final. And less than two hours after winning his individual medal, Lucas Mazur together with Faustine Noël, supported by Natixis Tradex Solutions, a subsidiary of Natixis Investment Managers, claimed silver medals in the mixed doubles final (SL3-SU5 category).
Thanks to this success, para badminton, a new disciple in the Games, allowed the French delegation to claim its final medals before the closing ceremony, which was followed by the transfer of the flag from Tokyo to Paris. After being handed the Olympic flag, France has now received the Paralympic flag. The #Paris2024 Games are now truly underway!
The companies and employees of Groupe BPCE, Premium Partner of Paris 2024, are proud to defend and share the values of the Olympic movement.
